It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we have to announce the sudden and all too premature passing of Roy Rance, one of the partners in Chiltern Sports.
Roy brought many improvements to the business, notably the development of our website and the extension to our premises, but above all he will be remembered for the charm, kindness and humour that he brought to us as colleagues and the many customers he so enjoyed serving. Most of all our thoughts are with his wife, Tina, and their sons and daughter at this most difficult time.
Roy’s funeral will take place at Amersham Crematorium at 1.30 p.m. on Friday 19th December. As a mark of respect our shop will be closed on that day.

Chiltern Sports has been a specialist cricket/hockey retailer since its establishment over twenty years ago. The past two decades have seen many developments and changes within the two sports and likewise, our business has also evolved to meet the demands of the modern game. During this time we have built up strong working relationships with a significant number of clubs and schools providing a full range of equipment, branded clothing and representative teamwear across a vast range of sports and leisure activities.

If only every sports shop was like this! We had been recommended to come to Chiltern Sports by a friend and will, in turn, be whole-heartedly recommending them ourselves. Due to current restrictions, we had made an appointment to visit to find a bat for my son and despite a last-minute change of day, this was graciously accommodated, even though delays on route meant we arrived after the shop had closed. There was a great variety of bats to choose from - Roy gave us some very sound, objective advice and took the time to patiently chuck some balls to my son so he could try out the feel of different bats, even though by this time the shop should have shut some time earlier. Amazing and appreciated! Thank you - we will definitely be back.

I found Chiltern Sports as they stocked a particular type of cricket bat. While they didn’t have many in stock after my initial visit, they took my details and got in touch after they’d picked up some more from the bat maker.
From the initial meet through to the end result (a superb new Salix cricket bat), their level of customer service was absolutely superb. They really look after you here - they actually opened out of hours as I messed up my timings and arrived early!
